The impromptus in concert
On a bare stage with no scenery, the Impromptus concoct on the spot an impertinent journey made from forbidden combinations and improvisations, from Bach to Zappa and sometimes with surprise guests from Abed Azrié to Kent. "New, original ! The repertoire gallops happily from Reicha to Frank Zappa, who is not only a rock musician, going through Hindemith, Ligeti, Cage or Kurtag. In brief they move" Le Monde
Mikrokosmos
Mikrokosmos is the title of an anthology of Bela Bartok which assembles 153 musics for piano, from the simple scale to to the most refined harmonies in a progressive ensemble imagined for his son Peter, piano apprentice.
89 of these pieces were orchestrated for the flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, bassoon and percussions by composer Jean-Michel Bossini. They are ordered in a pyramid-like architecture governed by the golden section, dear to Jean-Sébastien Bach and to Bartok.
Venu des sept jours - music, words and interpretation by K. Stockhausen
A small humanity facing the cosmos, with music and sounds to question the infinity. Between the mystical contemplations of Stockhausen and the child's glance to the stars, a show in which intersect the great mythologies of the zodiac. "…Venu des sept jours is a perfect narrative example of the development of their art. Do we not see a bear playing a bassoon solo, musicians investing the auditorium, a rocket take off ?... A moment of musical surprise and a great success !..." …491

Music & politics
In 1923 in Vienna and Berlin, Arnold Schönberg, the Jewish master, HannsEisler, the communist disciple and Paul Hindemith, the "Bourgeois's terror" each write a quintet. Music, political, philosophical and aesthetic reflections of these figures carried into the whirl of history.
Bartók/ Ligeti - from popular music to an imaginary folklore
With Jean-Michel Bossini at the piano, a guided visit of an "imaginary folklore" inspired from the popular musics of central Europe : the Mikrokosmos by Bartok and Musica ricercata by Ligeti played on the piano or in quintet in a game of perspectives on the various forms of composition.
Let's fugue! Bach or fugue run riot
In the Art of Fugue, Jean-Sébastien Bach builds up fugues and canons into a gigantic construction set. Le Concert Impromptu unveils the architecture of this monument in a virtuoso and contemporary manner in Olivier Dejours' concert version : the quintet and its eleven instruments converted into a live organ.
le Récit du Monde
Poems read aloud, music of the voice, improvised musics, lyrics…All will attempt to describe the ever ending global tentative to make sense through sound. The author reads the text, the musicians play it. This purposeful stereophony opens up to a palpable description of mankind's universe of tentatives to communicate and build a common memory.
A pensive show, which resorts to memory, reason and emotion and casts a moment of light on the obscure humanity within us.
