BERNARD DE VIENNE MONOGRAPH
World Premiere of the record monograph of Bernard de Vienne

le concert impromptu
& Bruno Belthoise, piano
Label : Disques CORIOLAN®
Release date : April 2009

With the support of MFA (Musiques françaises d'aujourd'hui)

Since 1992, the ensemble Concert Impromptu, the pianist Bruno Belthoise and the composer Bernard de Vienne share their talents to set up concerts and shows. A first monograph CD has been made to ensure a larger distribution to their works materializing this common engagement in a new way. This CD inaugurates the new collection "Musiques d'aujourd'hui" created on this occasion by the record label CORIOLAN®

This recording unveils not only several creations of the composer, but also his essential relationship with his interpreters as a chamber music group or solo. This universe, which gives as much to see as to think and to feel, was noticed and greeted by the magazine Mezzo who awarded it with a Mezzo-M, Wednesday April 2009. A musical distinction which greets an exceptional relationship quality, an exemplary work of profoundness that rightly underlines Bernard de Vienne's words : "Before seducing, a piece of work must surprise, disturb ; there is nothing to understand, one must let himself be surprised"

ALBAN DEREYER
CHAMBER-POP

Album recording with Alban Dereyer and tour to follow…
Revealed during the 2008 edition of the Printemps de Bourges, Alban Dereyer is one of today's rising pop stars. He is regularly invited in various festivals in France and abroad (England, Germany…).

Thanks to his first 6 titles album, he gained fans from much sought after press titles such as Les inrockuptibles, Le Monde, Telerama and L'Express who are impatiently waiting for the second album.

For his second recording, Alban Dereyer has turned to the eccentric Concert Impromptu musicians, progressive classics from which he appreciates the CD "Prophetic attitude" dedicated to Frank Zappa and their qualities of invention and opening on today's sound world.

Alban Dereyer is at the crossroads himself. Philosopher, musician with a lyric background, he is sensitive just as much to the smoothness of Elizabethan songs as to the violence of Bowie. He writes a pop music inspired by the voice of Leonard Cohen and the music of Steve Reich or Michael Nyman.
